The staff and Governors make every effort to ensure our school’s continued success.

Teachers work closely in small teams for planning purposes under the guidance of the respective Key Stage Leader. Children are normally taught in mixed ability classes. For some aspects of the curriculum children may be ‘set’ or grouped according to ability as an alternative to whole class teaching.

Children are provided with a wide curriculum that aims to develop each child’s full potential and to achieve the highest possible standards. Care is taken to ensure that more able children are academically stretched through extension work and that less able children are given additional support. The school aims to develop an ethos that includes the development of social and moral behaviour, as well as academic achievement. Basic skills are given a high priority.

Chandlers Ridge is a happy and hard working school. Recognition of achievement is given high priority. The ethos of the school is developed through praise and encouragement with the aim of attaining the highest possible standards within everything that we do. The children, staff and Governors are all very proud of what is achieved here.
